Woodstock, Vermont

This property – an exceptional slice of New England. A classic brick Federal home dated 1784. The house was only rivaled by its extraordinarily special 80 acre setting.

Our client’s goals, as the new stewards of this property, were our favorite kind..honor the house while bringing in a few creative updates, minimal structural impact and a fresh look that reflected their young family who had recently moved from England. The only layout shifts were that we removed a first floor bathroom to make it into an access hall to a proper mudroom, converted a previously unfinished attic to their boys’ bunk room and we created a thunder box in the powder room. It is a home that says family gathering, new holiday traditions and deep roots. We loved being a part of it and loved the assembled team.
